Show introduction

From the team who brought you the sold-out musical ‘If There’re Seasons…’, The Theatre Practice returns with the suspense thriller, Rashomon.

Based on the classic short stories of Ryunosuke Akutagawa, this literary masterpiece dwells largely on the subjectivity of perception of the witnesses surrounding an episode of rape and murder in the bamboo grove. Rashomon is a timeless classic with a strong cultural resonance, inspiring and influencing countless adaptations on stage and screen. The most famous screen version won Akira Kurosawa the Golden Lion and the Academy Honorary Award.

With arresting visuals, a new structure of suspense, and stunning manga-inspired character designs, this reworking of Rashomon by The Theatre Practice’s Resident Director Kuo Jing Hong promises to be an entertaining and exciting theatrical experience not to be missed!
