x'mas eve movie screening + little beer party PUBLIC SERVICE ANNOUNCEMENT

so, we - the shopkeepers - have been thinking about our x'mas eve screening + little party, which is a mere 3 days away. and we are getting more & more excited!

here are some notes for the party-goers:

it's not going to be your usual crazy party. it will be slow and easy, probably a little laid-back. the lights will be dimmed, we will watch a movie together, make unimportant small talk with each other, exchange names (and possibly phone numbers), and later in the night, after a few bottles of beer, we might even share some secrets with each other (haha...this is my own wishful thinking).

little gift

we will be giving out a coolcitrusbasil linen badge (by our friend Charlene) to each of our guests... it's absolutely lovely!

time
the party starts after 8:00PM, so you may come anytime after that (or even before that!). come earlier so you can get comfortable and find a seat (on the floor). we will screen the movie at around 9:00PM. after the movie, if you want, let's count down to x'mas together!

dress code
basically, there is no dress code. come dressed in your most comfortable clothes and, if you want, slippers. be your casual self!

shoes
to make sure everyone is comfortable, you'll have to take off your shoes at the door. don't worry, our shopkeepers will guard your shoes with their lives!

strangers / making friends
yes, no doubt there will be people you don't know, but trust me, it will be fine. we will be giving out name tags, so let's make some friends that night. who knows, you might meet someone.....

dance floor
there is no official dance floor, but of course you are welcome to start dancing ANYWHERE at all in the shop...

"rehearsing" for the night, haha

if you haven't decided, it's still not too late. let our shopkeepers know via shini[at]casualpoet.com or 6221-5022. each ticket is SGD15.00 and comes with one free drink (incl. alcoholic drinks).

tickets can only be reserved upon payment. you may collect your tickets at the door on the day itself ;)

will we see you there?
